About the event
Our backyards are a buffet for birds - that is if they can support a healthy insect population. Single species lawns look pretty, but are not friendly to a variety of insects. A city full of lawns is like an empty grocery store for birds - they have nothing to eat!
A biodiverse landscape creates homes for many different types of insects - playing to their unique habitat needs. With more insects hiding in the landscape, there is more food for birds - a buffet of bugs!
