Fort Saskatchewan Prairie

Yes, you have to travel all the way to Fort Saskatchewan, but it's worth it. This 12-hectare remnant of aspen parkland, set aside as a nature reserve by the City of Fort Saskatchewan, is home to a wide array of prairie flowers and grasses.

Bunchberry Meadows

Two plots of land are being restored and filling in nicely. It's a wonderful place to volunteer with unusual plant species and an abundance of butterflies and birds. Each week includes a walk and talk around the beds.

Muttart Native Plant Bed

This native plant demonstration bed is located just north of the Muttart Conservatory parking lot. A former annual garden bed that was given up by the Edmonton Horticulture Society, the ENPS applied to the City of Edmonton and was granted permission to use this bed as a showcase for perennial native plants.
